Help answer this question below.

As I am driving down the road my car(1997 Ford Taurus) starts making this clicking sound.It affects the controls on my windows,windshield wipers and auto-lock doors, and my power steering.Whats wrong with my car?

major elecrtical short/crossed circut?
take it to a shop
