No. They are the best ever. Far better than the sanitary napkins that are being advertized so much, here in India. I wonder why the tampon manufacturers don't advertise their excellent products!

I think not they surely must be far more "user friendly" than towels.... thats mans point of view.

Not if you are a physically active woman and particularly if you are a swimmer or lifeguard. It's an improved product, but then so are many other products like diaper wipes, disposal diapers, softer toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towels, etc.

A doubt it. Expensive champagne and caviar are luxury items. I don't think there is a gold standard for a cotton plug.

no. i think they are a necessity for women with active lifestyles. the kind i buy is more expensive because it is made from organic, unbleached cotton (minimizes exposure to dioxins & pesticides), but i dont put a price tag on my health & comfort. :D
