Yeah, I've also heard some good things about the Asus laptops. If you need something small that runs Windows, an Asus laptop would work nicely.

Samsung nc10, it might be last years model but I see prices have fallen recently. It comes with 10 inch screen, 1GB RAM (can upgrade to 2GB), 160 GB hard disk, Ethernet and Wifi, 3 usb ports, memory card reader and gets great reviews all over the net.
