  • I live in New Zealand, and here we have an education system called N.C.E.A Im in the 12th year, Im 16. So year 12 here, Im not sure what you equivalent would be but hopefully you can work it out from that. Anyways i want to have a career in design. I am good at everything arty and have top of the class mark for my Graphics subjects. I need to choose what subject to take next year, and thats where the debate/heated argument comes into play ;P Industrial Design looks like it would be right up my alley, as i also like to work with my hands and solve problems using creativity. This year i have taken English, Math, Physics, Graphics, Art and Drama. And last year i also had taken Physics, Math and English. so i have had two years of the subjects in the N.C.E.A system. BUT NEXT YEAR... Heres the subjects i want to take: Math, English, Art-design, Scholarship Graphics and Technology (building stuff). Heres my dads ideas :( Math,English,Physics,Art design and Graphics I HATE PHYSICS SOOO MUCH!/ this year i have this Horrid teacher and my marks have gone 'bloop' but weirdly last year i passed with a Merit. *So i have talked to my Graphics teacher about this, And he said basically physics is helpful but not a major, he said that the main thing was the design work. * Also my cousen is an Industial Designer, a new one :) And he said that physics would have been handy. Much to my dads delight ;/ ------------------------ But my point of view on that is this= Nick never took physics in any of the years he was a school. i have been learning it for 4 years. So i recokn he only finds it hard because he never learn the basics. SO whats you view??? And please help i need to work it all out. P.S Sorry for the crappy English, Im tired.
