Okay. I saw a cool picture I wanted for an avatar, so I copied it (You know, like copy n' paste?) Anyhoo, I have it copied, now how do I get the URL for it so I can make it my avatar?

You could also just right click and save it to your computer, then upload it as your avatar.

You don't copy it, at least I think you don't. You right click the image and select "save image as", and then save it to your picture folder.
Obviously you know what to do after that to turn it into an avatar.

Rick click, copy and paste go to change your avatar, browse, find it in your documents and voila! Or if you need any other urls for other pics. Go to www.photobucket.com

Well, the avatar you want can either be a sold Jpeg with no animation, or can be a Gif with an animation and movement. There are software that can make your avatar animated like Photoshop CS2 and Macromedia Flash and other software. Photoshop can shrink it, copy it to a 50x50 pixel document. www.makeavatars.com can help creat your own, if you have no knowledge of using the programs. For a specific url of the picture, it could've been registered as the website, so as the previous person said, right click it, from its orginal source and view the url, and copy it.
