I'm neither, but I'm sure there will always be people who refuse to let go of the past and refuse to move forward no matter what. Kind of reminds me of the fundies.

i am human and could feel both ways...guilty or have animosity....i dont blame the german people for Hitler and his cronies anymore than i could all jews for a few evil ungodly jewish priests.....
i do have a forgiving heart...which is what i would do if a German, forgive myself...if a Jew, i could forgive Germans...just maybe not HITLER....but we are supposed to...forgive our enemies....

The world can learn by Germany's evil past. Modern Germany is very different but still aspires to being a strong nation. It does have a good work ethic and a stronger economy than Britain. I am proud though to belong to a society that cares for the sick and vulnerable and does not view them as non productive baggage like Hitlers followers did. Britain isn't perfect but it retains an ethos that is mainly kind. Commercialism is moving us away from that so we should relearn to love each other

How Jews feel about Germany should be quite clear. And they will think the same way about Germany the next few thousands of years.
For me no doubt at all what all of them think.
And so Germans and Nazis will be the same for ever and there is no difference if they were born long time after WW II or if they get born in the future in a few hundreds of years.
They will be guilty even before they are born.
Germans have to accept and that they will be regarded as Nazis for ever and they will have to deal with it.
That is not a "guilt-complex" but much more the consequence of a daily fact which is extremely present all over the public and the minds in the USA as well as in Britain.
Young Germans do not much think about -but they get painfully mentioned whenever they meet a British or an American.
The easiest way is just to avoid contacts to British and Americans and then you never will have this problem.
And I think it is not very helpful for Germans if they come to Israel. You can expect and understand their opinion and so I think it is rather a serious provocation if Germans dare to make a trip to Israel.
The same and better holidays you have in Egypt and you are welcome there.
    Germans should avoid provocations.

I would not say that Germans have a guilt-complex.
But they are aware what happened and it was not only the Jews who were killed.
The first they killed were all people and children who were called as useless eaters because they were mentally sick.
And long before any Jews were killed they were training the best methods for killing at those who were mentally sick.
And I think it is important to remember that this is also a part of German history as well as any other part.
Such an event you can not forget like turning over a page in a book.
If there is still a jewish animosity against the Germans, we have to accept and take notice of that.
Anyway I do not have any guilt-complex as I was not even born like the rest of the German people today when these things happened.
