How can you patent a human gene? Sounds crazy to me, go ACLU challenge those bastards and win! I can see patents for something you set out to discover or invent, like a light bulb or auto delay wiper system. Human genes..NO WAY!
Another big business scam if you ask me. I think that patenting genes is lunacy and ultimately harmful to the greater good.
You should only be able to patent any treatment derived from the study of that gene.
Nope don't think so, with so many "Genetic" anomolies and illnessess showing up do you think those companies would deliberately release them into the enviroment to trigger them just to make more money and control over your lives ..

That was my thought, too. How can they claim to have invented something that's been there since the beginning of time.
