Sounds like what you're saying is that right now you have no options. Don't know your age, but if you can't leave there right now, stick it out, leave when you can, and try to make a change when you get out in the world so others don't have to suffer the same thing.
Go to Lowes. Read up on how HD treats its vendors. HD sucks.
Gtravels, you are quite the optimist...point well taken.
Someguy, I believe it, you nearly have to be an active member in the KKK to be hired at this one, can imagine the conflicts with vendors and even minorety customers.... Answer 2 out of 16 by I love my baby on Mar 7, 2007 at 11:37 am Permalink

Jen, you obviously know my pain here, but I'm fed up with letting them treat me this way...I want results.
You can write a letter to the company (store manager, district manager, regional manager, etc) explaining the situation... but details would be helpful in this case. Time and dates of visits, location of the store visited, what departments you shopped in, what items you looked at, and a description of how you were "monitored".... even explain that it only happens at their store, and nowhere else (if that's the case). If it's the same security/loss prevention guy following you each time, state that.
They are able to hide behind the lack of my provided details, that's how their system is set up.....

I don't steal and they have basiclly escorted me to the casheir when I am about to pay. They Stare at me throught the corners of their eye's and talk quietly on their radios. They take up stratigec position on me at the register, waiting for the buzzer to go off!
Well it looks like you have done something that sparks their interest. Figure out what it is that is making them think you are stealing. Maybe you fit the profile of someone who had shoplifted there before. Maybe you have a behavior that is suspicious to them that seems totally normal to you. Otherwise, talk to management and try to get the figured out.
yeah it's probably because I actually stop to read labels and stuff, I stay in there for at least an hour or two when I'm congering up some kinda project....

When you make eye contact with the same person in different isles, then see that person at the check out counter with a radio standing behind the register, with another radio carrying individual standing behind you looking out of the corner of his eye at you, that would be my first clue.
