Not only confined to AB, one can tell much more about a person from the questions they ask rather than the answers they give. Agree? ;-)

No. My answers are much, much better to me than my questions. My questions are usually just to get some questions posted because they all have been asked a million times on here, it seems.

Yeah. Asking questions on AB is an artform for some. I musta answered 100s by this one dude who just seems to ask great questions *all* the time.
Thx.

I don't agree philosopher saint. Look at both Q&A and comments, too. Even then, much depends on the moods and ebbs and tides.:)

Nah. Answers give a lot more detail, so by default you can learn a lot more from the answer than the question, but also, the limited space you have for asking questions highly limits what you could learn...I mean, you don't always know WHY they ask the question, and while people here love to assume shit, you can't really tell if they're implying anything, if they're voicing their opinion and all that.
Sure there are some blatant questions that are actually statements or meant to piss off, but otherwise I think answers are a better way to go, since people can elaborate.

Well, with answers, people have a set 'framework' in which to respond. Topic already chosen; range of expression limited to that topic (or thereabouts). On the other hand, questions just come straight outta people's psyches. What their thinking about out of the whole world's range of possible topics, concerns, expressions, etc. No?
;-)
Avatar Chainsaw Jul, 01 2009 at 10:17 PM
But it's the same with answers. Especially because it's limited-doesn't really give people time to think, therefore they can only be honest about it. Honest as in being themselves I mean, even if they answer a huge lie lol.
Avatar philosopher-saint Jul, 02 2009 at 06:18 PM
Yeah. I now see what you mean. I wasn't looking at it from that perspective. Food fer thought, Sym. Thx!

Tells me you likely gots a @#$%-load of AB "Expert" designations, YARNLADY?!
Thx.

Avatar YARNLADY is happy everyday Jul, 01 2009 at 07:01 PM
Ha, ha. I never even thought to check. Only 18, I guess that tells you I'm not very diverse.
Avatar philosopher-saint Jul, 01 2009 at 07:09 PM
I was thinking the same thing about myself. Altho' I've a wide range of 'real-life' interests, it appears I only like asking/answering AB questions about just a few things!

Yes, it is necessary to judge on questions, but instead of under answers.
