How long will a baby invetro test possitive for drugs once the mother has stopped using?

    As far as I know they do not test unborn fetuses for drugs. They would simply test the mother for drug use.

    Since the mother's blood supply supports the baby, there would be no need to put the fetus through a risky procedure. The fetus does not develop the organ function to process and metabolize drugs until well into the pregnancy.

    So I guess the answer would be: the same amount of time it takes for the mother's system to be clean.
