    36 x 18 x 16 = 10,368 cubic inches
    or 6 cubic feet.

    Converting: 1 cubic feet = 28.3168 litres.
    Then:
    6 cubic feet = 169.901 Litres

    What shape tank? If the ends are rounded, you'll have to figure in the volume of that virtual cylinder as well as the volume of the box.

    If it is in the form of a parallelepiped with rectangular faces, the volume is just the product of the sides.
    Further information:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallelepiped

    V = 36 × 18 × 16 * (25.400×10^−3 m)^3

    To get the volume in liters, just multiply the value in cubic meters by 1000.

    V = 169.9 liters
