I subcontracted for a company in Colorado and one of the owners was a good friend of mine.
I had to drive past the bank they used on my way home while he had to drive the complete other direction so even though I wasn't an official employee he would ask me to make end of week deposits for for him.
They averaged about $80,000.00.
The bank used to always give me strange looks coming in all dirty from work and handing over that kind of cash.
I think the most I had in my brief case at one time was ninety four thousand dollars in cash and another $45 thousand in checks.
The other owner found out I was making the deposits after he saw my signature on some deposit slips and kind of freaked out.
His complaint was that I drove a beat up flatbed truck that was over 20 years old and he was afraid if I was ever pulled over by the police they would find it suspicious for someone like me to have over 100 thousand dollars in cash and checks in my truck and could possibly seize the money.
That was the end of my making deposits.

it wasnt cold hard cash. it was a stock, because thats the field i work in, but its same as cash pretty much. and it was 500 million dollars. our wealthiest client was cashing it in.
