My industrial piercing is still crusting over and if I take it out, it closes up and I have to literally re-pierce my ears trying to push it through, and I got it over a year ago. Is this normal? What can I do to heal it?

have you tried bathing it in germolene or TCP or salt water? worked for my belly button and ear piercings.

Salt water works best, go to the shops and buy some sea salt, mix it with some water (preferably not from a tap) and soak the piercing in it for as long as you can, at least half an hour a day if you can and that should help it heal up perfectly. Edited: PS it might sting slightly when it goes on, but it will not be bad and it will heal it. PPS you do not have to put your head under water for half an hour (not recommended! lol) just use cotton wool and really soak it in the mixture and keep adding more as it dries out.

It can very well do that forever. Cartiledge can take 6 months to a year to heal, or it may never heal. Ive had mine 6 months almost and its still sore, crusty etc Hope that helps some!
