Question

Help answer this question below.

My fan tail godfish got its tail stuck in the filter last night, this morning he's curled up on his side, his tail is shredded and hes moving around a little. I've done water changes just in case but is he kapput?

Your mistake may have been a water change.

Sorry but being stuck in a pump/hose is a horrible stress thing, followed by a change of water (more stress) may have been more than the fish's system could handle.

It is now a 'wait and see' situation. Stop stressing the fish (water changes, change of environment (moving the bowl/tank) and let the little guy heal as best as possible.

    He might still survive...
