that it's the stupidest idea in the world...? if an oxymoron was in a completely physical form, that would probably do it right there.

Every patient should be given equal care regardless of their last name. Oh, wait a minute. Did you mean a McDonalds restaurant in a hospital?? This would be somewhat of an oxymoron.

Ridiculous. I can see Ronald McDonald in a Pediatric ward, cheering up the kids. Otherwise that food belongs outside in a fast food arena where healthy people can choose to buy it or not.

I think it's perfect. Keep the customers coming back! Everybody wins. Except the customer. I think it's just like the auto mechanic who loosens a little valve cap or seal here and there and a few weeks later...oh dear. Looks like your need some work done.

It'd be like having an open bar at an AA meeting.

    Wow - are u serious? I didn't think there would ever be a McD's in a hospital.

They must rent out space purely on a money basis at that hospital.

Great, the sugeons can unclog the arteries and MacD's can clog them up again.

Not good for the patients, but it will give the hospitals more business.

*note: for those who can't tell, the above was posted with tongue in cheek*

McD is getting some harsh criticism lately.
    Give it a break.
People are free to eat what they like.
Many folks in a hospital are not patients, most in fact. Let them eat as they wish.

UNLESS you are with the FOOD POLICE, back off my Big MAC!

That goes for you too, Prince Charles. I had to fire my personal chef!

Some people say that it is the only bright time in a sick kids time at hospital (we have one in our Children's hospital), and that it is the only food they can keep down sometimes - but at the same time you can argue against those points.
I think when people have kids in hospital it it very hard for them, and I guess it isn't so bad to have one there (even though I'm a nutritionist).

Is this a hypothetical question or are there really hospitals with McDonalds in them?

If it is already real... OMGs! Thats crazy! Why don't they just install them in elementary schools while they are at it (That's sarcasm!).

Thats awful. People have choices but, when you can drive a couple of miles, get your Mickey d's fix and come back, why would you even put it there?

I think it's better to have healthy choices directly at hand and have to make some effort to get something that is so very bad for you. It makes a healthy choice easier, and I think hospitals should influence healthier lifestyles.
    Not demand or force, influence.

Eating McDonalds ( not everyday) but once in awhile can be a good thing. Even for those sick in the hospital...have you ever had a Shamrock shake? They can brighten your day.

OH that's dumb. Hospitals should promote people being HEALTHY. I would not take any hospital seriously that would just up and feed me McDonalds.
