Black tea with licorice root and some honey. I use it all the time. The licorice soothes the throat.

Do you have postnasal drip? Do you have allergies?
Is your nose runny? If so, you need to use a decongestant and some Sucrets, stat!

Aww poor baby!
I'm suffering the same, but have a purse stuffed with over-the-counter meds. =P
Though... with runny eyes, I would question whether or not you have a seasonal allergy... (except if its from the sneezing).

It tastes nasty but works without fail:

1 cup water as hot as you can stand to gargle with
3 t apple cider vinegar
1 t honey

Gargle with this. Use the entire cup.

You may need more than a home remedy! Are the glands in your neck swollen? Do you have white tonsils, or what look like blisters on them? Do you have a fever? Check all this and if the answer is yes, go to your doctor as it may be a strep infection and it won't go away by itself. (I get strep frequently)

Have you gargled salt water? That often helps a bit with an infection if that's what you've got...in any case, it won't do you any harm. Make sure you don't swallow the salt water though, it'd probably make you throw up.

You could also try sucking ice cubes, that helps numb things a bit.

You can gargle salt water, it usually works for me, if I feel like tolerating the taste of it, blech.

Normally, I drink an herbal tea, and put honey in it, which is pretty soothing on the throat, and helps to alleviate the pain and burning feeling.

For a quick fix, you could try Chloraseptic as well. They have sprays, strips, lozenges and those types of things. They usually work pretty well, but not for an extremely long time.

Um...you need some OJ and about 4 limes. Squeeze all the limes and pour the juice in a glass, and sweeten it a little bit with the OJ, not much though. The limes are loaded with citric acid, which contains vitamin C, which in turn helps to kill a sore throat, works most everytime I use it.
Don't drink in one sitting, sip on it enough to coat your throat. Do this as often as you like, your sore throat will be gone by tommorrow or the next.

Hope you feel better.
