Admittedly I know nothing about the band "Coldplay"; are they as good as the hype?

    In my opinion they are over rated, but i like to listen to them. Have a listen to Clocks or Viva La Vada

    they are incredible. chris martin is a genious, and is way to smart to steal from ANY other band/musician. i own every one of their albums and each one continues to get more and more incredible. they also put on fantastic concerts. chris always tries to get the audience engaged, so much so that if you are sitting on the lawn, he will put his piano in the grass and play from there. if you get any of their live stuff you will almost always hear him asking how everyone is doing, if everyone is having fun, if they are feeling okay. he is very attentive, and their music is incredible! =]

    i love their 2nd album rush of blood to the head. politik, god put a smile on your face, daylight, clocks, the scientist, in my place, etc. ...brilliant tunes. their latest album is not on the same par, but viva la vida and lovers in japan are worth a listen.
