People believe in such things (including "talking snakes"), because they have been indoctrinated ("brainwashed") into believing them. In 1968, I met this kid close to my own age, who was kicked out of the USAF on what what was called a "Section 39.10: Inability to adapt to military life." It was an Honorable discharge, and when I asked my Sgt. what had happened to the guy, my Sgt. replied, "We weren't able to brainwash him, so we had to get rid of him." It is also a "scientific fact" that folks who have been dead for three days, don't come back to life, but the world is full of people who believe THAT they do, also. Don't be fooled by hype and fairy tales. Believe in things that are real and scientifically possible. +5

There are still many people who don't buy into the entire evolution theory. The word theory even tells you it can not be proven but it is the best educational guess science has. Many people still believe that there are things we still don't understand and one of them is creation. So yes, Adam and Eve could have existed. If they didn't exist then their stories weren't written down to explain the creation of the world but a moral lesson. Since what I get out of them is a moral lesson then why would their actual existence matter anyways?

"Pretty much a scientific fact???" That just proves to me even more that the Bible is the final authority on all matters where it says in 1 Corinthians 3:19, "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written: "He catches the wise in their own cunning."

because generally speaking people are stupid and will believe just about anything even when its obviously not true.
-
It's all a matter of semantics. If God had started spouting modern terminology at Moses et al, nobody would have understood a word He said.

Do you have guts enough to listen to this? All the way through? You may have to download real player...but it will be worth your time to do so. So hold your DRs unless you listen and still disagree http://www.khouse.org/6640_media_serve.php?show_id=214&show_day=monday

LoL...fact............................lmao!!!!!

Because all thought is a choice.

Certain things about the evolution theory may have been tested and show that certain processes may have been possible, but I disagree that evolution proves that we evolved from something else. That is not scientific. That is a hypothesis. There is a difference between a scientific hypothesis and a scientific fact.

cuz if u think of it hard u stat 2 ponder on how the universe was made and who made the rocks and how it all started ..... who made water were did the first organisms come from and how were they made

Saying something is pretty much scientific fact is not the same as saying 'is scientific fact'. Its like if I asked you if you could fly a plane and your answer was 'pretty much' I'm getting the hell of that plane. Evolution is a educated guess, created by observation of animals and fossils, and I don't claim to know exactly how it works but the point is they never proven that a man was once a monkey. It is theorized that man was once a monkey, just a man theorizes that man was created by God. Also Evolution ends at a point, granted its point is not the same as the genesis account of God but it doesn't explain life as something uncreated, just that its creation is possibly different. For example even if we once monkeys it doesn't prove those monkeys weren't made from God to become men. Furthermore the argument is always asked to be waged on the ground of science, which in fact makes little sense. If it is claimed that a omnipotent God created life of earth, and he wanted his people to come to love and obey him unconditionally, he would not allow himself to be proven on our terms when He wants it to be a matter of faith and love. Therefore if God does not want to be proven by science he will not be proven by science, and if He was proven by science we've entered into a paradox because that would prove him fallible and thus not God.

So you've been told. There are things that evolution / mutation cannot accomplish which would have been required to develop life without guidance.

Some people need to believe that there is a higher power when they feel that they cannot handle the things in their life by themselves if they have to handle them by themselves.Others are children wanting to please their parents or parental figures, and will do anything to be loved, knowing that if they don't they won't be,therefore being conditional love.Yet others still are simply afraid of this imaginary place that people will burn in fire for eternaty called Hell if they don't.More than that, some are just power hungry,as use it to their advantage to harm and take advantage of others, and some are truely bonifiabley insane with phycosis and/or scitzophrenia, although not ALL scitzophreniacs are believers in God,and the source of their(Our)delusions so this is not meant to be a generalzation, just an observation.Thank you for the question.*+++++*

Sorry, but your misinformed...evolution is still just a "theory". As in: identifying phenomena and making an assertion or a claim) True, it is touted as fact all the time though. Pay attention to the wording about evolution in documentaries. You'll see what I mean about it being pushed as though it was fact and not theory. That's odd, don't you think? You might be interested to know that the order that the animals were created in Genesis (First book of the Bible) are exactly the same as what evolution states. Most Bible scholars attribute the writing of Genesis to Moses. So how did he know the supposed evolutionary order on this earth? Of course he wrote that God created mankind. Did you know...even Darwin had problems with his own theory. It's in Origin of the Species. I'm thinking too that Darwin also studied mussels for like 10 years, exclusively. Evolution also says that modern man can trace his roots back to Africa. And the initial group consisted of 6-8 people. Sounds amazingly familiar. Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives. That makes eight, right? Noah and his wife may not have had more children. Then that would have been six. Huh? Ever wonder why it looks as though the pieces of the world could fit together. In the story of Noah, it didn't just rain from above, but the fountains of the deep were broken up too? Interesting. How long ago did man discover the atom? The Bible states that things that are visible are created of invisible things. How would the person who wrote that have known?

"Pretty much scientific fact. " ? Do you even need an answer for that?

It isn't established fact.. yet. But "god" has so many holes in it that swiss cheese feels pretty damned secure to me in comparison.
