If I had the answer for that, I would be a millionaire. I currently have the yips with my lob wedge. At one time I could use that club for so many things...now I'm lucky if I can hit that club at all. Go figure.

Maybe we should divide this category in two: golf for golfers and golf for non-golfers. The yips are when you jerk with your arms or wrists on a short chip shot; it ruins the shot. Some say it is bad nerves, but it may be fear. I guess the hands tremble more and more with advancing age. Some guys have taken a beta blocker heart medication to smooth the muscle action, but you would have to get your doctor to write for them for you. Probably relaxation meditation with visualization of smooth hand wrist movement is the best.
