  • Please refer to this site: http://www.jud.ct.gov/faq/jury.html This is what I found: You can request to deny the jury duty if you are not a citizen of the United States. I would presume yes to your question. If you are lawfully living in the U.S., then you have a duty serve the country. This is also the case (I believe) with the Selective Service Act. Hope it helps.   • I always thought you could not. I am a legal resident of the US for 40 years. I have never been called for jury duty, however my mother was and did not serve jury duty because she is not a cictzen. We are from Canada, but have lived here for 40 years and consider ourselves citizens in our hearts, if not on paper.
