What are the legal consequences to producing and selling clothing using a university/college name or parts of it (i.e. abbreviation, sport team etc.)?

    All univeristy/college names, logos, team names, etc. are already copyrighted or trademarked. So you would have to negotiate a deal with the university for the right to use their insignia on your products.
