  • Yes,I've never asked a guy such a question,it puts him on the spot,and it is unfair.If I ask a question,I'm prepared to accept the answer,if I ask "Do You Think",this means I need your opinion.I can't get mad at your opinion.Unless I'm pregnant,then my hormones run rampant,and I'm completely irrational,like all women!(I'm speaking in general terms,not personal,I've never been pregnant!)*+++++*

Absolutely, that's the one question I don't want to hear. I think they ask it just to see if we are willing to lie to them, and as soon as we open your mouths ... we are as good as dead !! :)

I would say. "Are you? Bring that body over here and let me feel it for a while so I can see".

I know I am fat - My question to my husband is always: Why am I so ugly? It is really a self assurance question for the women. Society makes all women feel unattractive and we all need a sense of security. The question is loaded. That is the part that stinks!

To be quite honest i think women could be 95 lbs. & if shes feeling unloved that day or you have not complimented her in a while she might ask that just to hear something positive & sweet from you. Some of us just don't know how to come out & say "Hey, pay a little attention to me!" Then you have women that just flat out want to play little girl games. I see how you guys can get frustrated.

Image is very important to women. It is perpetuated in the media. That makes most women insecure about their looks. So to reassure themselves, they ask us men. But little do they realize that their insecurities are so strong that even a rational, thoughtful answer cannot reassure them.

There are many good answers to the question. There is one that is always wrong: "Yes."

    She is NOT fat.

"Honey. When I look in your eyes, what I see transcends any categories of mankind.. You define beauty. Nothing defines you."

I ask because I think I am and what to know what my bf thinks. I know in not fat but when i feel bad about myself and feel as if I am it makes me feel better if he says no. I don't think any girl wants they guys t say that thay are even if they are fat.

Just say yes when a woman asks a question like that and maybe they will quit asking stupid questions.

This is a fine example of saying something but meaning another. The girl has a certain answer in mind when she asks that question. She doesn't want an in-depth analysis, just some general good feelings thrown her way so she can continue feeling good about herself with confidence. Never tell your girl she is fat. That is waaay insensitive. Try to do more active things together!

Don't know - I have never asked my husband if I am fat. The few times in my life that I gained weight I knew it and lost it. You are right, you are dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. It is unfair to ask a man that.

There is a semi tactful way of telling her. I personally prefer real women with some meat on their bones to the unrealistic Victoria's secret supermodel types.

If the girl I am with asks me if she's fat and she is I will tell her You're curves are in all the right places and I love and accept you just as you are so what does it matter if I think you're fat or not. It's not going to change my love for you ever.

This is a no win answer.

No matter what you say, she will interpret it the wrong way.

Even if you say, "no comment", that means yes to a woman.

Best to change the subject as soon as possible.

    I admit that it's a bad question.

But some girls just want to know that their body is desirable by their man. And usually "fat" bodies aren't desirable.. so if they guy says they're "fat" they feel bad.

How is it damned if you do, damned if you don't.

In my opinion, even if she IS fat then you shouldn't tell her she is.

Just tell her she's perfect and that you think she's beautiful.

    Can't go wrong there.
