Juve curfew laws have reduced the number of teenage driving deaths, since less of them are out at night. It is more about safety then reducing crime committed by juves. Most juve crimes are committed during the day when they should be in school. That is why daytime curfew (truancy laws) have been enacted.

I dont think it effects some kids. Me and my friends don't really follow tht law. it's not enforced in my neighbor hood
