I have a jeep grand. cherokee (1994) I replaced the alternator with a new one, & made sure the battery was charged up..I drove it about 20 miles & the battery was going dead. What could this be?

Either your battery isn't holding a charge or your voltage regulator is bad. Bad connections at the battery post may also cause that.

I had the same problem with a vehicle of mine, but it was not a jeep. the problem was that on the alternater is a two plong connecter and when i plugged it in the one of the plongs bent cause there to be no connection. i know it sounds stupid but it had me boggeled for days.
