If Skype and MSN are working then the internet connection is there, when this happens one of two issues are usually the cause. The first thing to check is the Proxy settings, assuming you are using Internet explorer go to tools, internet options then click on the connections tab. Click on the Lan settings button, if the use a proxy server is checked un check it. As a rule most cable providers do not use any settings in the LAN settings box so everything can be unchecked, press apply of needed then ok. Close Internet Explorer and then re open it again, if your internet is still not working then check for fire walls by running your mouse over the icons on the lower right hand side of your screen, if you find a fire wall try disabling that.

Cable company didn't cut my cable off, its been 6 months since I canceled with them. Should I worry bout it or just enjoy it for free?

Why are internet speeds on cable affected by how many other people in your area are using the internet during peak hours,but not tv quality?

You're reading Cannot connect to the internet PAGE. She can connect to Skype and MSN, but nothing else. What's wrong?
