What I believe is that no one knows when the world will end and I refuse to live my life worrying about it. I think people should live every day as if it is their last and stop dwelling on what might be. If it happens no preparations can help or stop it.

No I do not. It was supposed to end at least a zillion times in the past. People sold all their worldy goods and congregated on mountaintops and nothing happened. The evidence shows in every one of the zillion cases nothing happened. That is a lot "not happening" evidence so I believe it will continue to "not happen"! Happy Thursday Zeke! :)

No, I don't, but I do believe that it could be the begining of the end of the world. Too many prophecies coming true, read Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Interesting times.

I'm 72 years old, have smoked for over 62 years. I think I have a better chance of "ending" in or before 2012 than the world. So, pardon me if I'm not sweatin' it! :-)

no i dont. i believe that the world will end when ever God has it planned to end. I think this whole belief that the world is going to end 12.21.12 is because they like to scare us. they said the world was going to end or some shit like that a few years back... last time i checked we were still here...

I'm flying to china to get on one of those arks.

Honestly I think we have more of a chance of seeing Danny Glover as president than we do of seeing the world end....but who knows...

Once again this teminology used makes no sense at all, the world cannot end! And i know what your on about and so ill just answer your question:

No it will not, the date is the last day on the mayan calender simply because they ran out of room.

I can assure you nothing will happen no aliens will appear, no anti-christ, no modern jesus will pop up not instant deaths nothing that has been predicted before the only thing you could expect is an asteroid hitting the earth but even then we've got our plannet 100% protected and secure and we can see these things years before they occur :)

- In defense of the Mayans it's a misinterpretation by others that some how got misconstrued to mean the end of the world and that does not mean we are not going to see some drastic changes by natural disasters during this time...

- its not just the mayan calendar... the hindu calendar too.. it has to do with the alignments of different planets on that day... it predicts that the earth will slowly regain control of itself.. (something like that) >natural disasters .

- Several Civilizations were watching the Galactic Cycle, May the 05, 2012 is the supposed apex of that cycle, it represent a change in direction of our entire solar system how much destruction IF any will depend on the tightness of that change and it has happened many times in our history as a planet...

if it does what really changes? we were all going to die anyway. death is invetiable, and knowing when you die just gives you more to time tie loose ends. and finally tell the beautiful girl in your math class that you like her. so if the world does end i'll die. if it doesnt i'll die.

Visited Chichen Itza (stunning!) this year and heard lots of the 2012 end of the world fear (Mayan calendar ends then).

I'm with my 13-year old on this: He says the real reason the Mayan calendar ends then is because they couldn't fit any more numbers on the rock. :-)

The message of Revelations, the last book of the bible, warns that we are entering the worst times that earth has yet to experience. We are in the time of grace, for people to give their heart over to Jesus and believe He died for them personally, and rose again. He is now seated at the right hand of God awaiting to return in the clouds and gather his church.
The bible says the earth is already 'groaning' as a woman before child birth ready for the end of the end days. The time is soon - 5 years - 40 years? Either way, each of has to be ready. The time for salvation is NOW.

My mom says only god knows when the world will end. Is she right, that only god will know? my dad says if the world ever does end, and I'm still alive it wont matter because I'll be dead anyway as soon as it stikes. I dont know if thats true or not but, I gotta find something to believe in or Imma go crazy. Im running out of faith lately.
