I prefer day flights for I can see that i am above the clouds, something that I don't get to see everyday, so once in a while I'd like to give myself that.
and if i go on night flights it's hard to find an available transportation in my area and it will cost me plenty to pay staying in a motel.
don't be afraid
I enjoy both, but prefer to see the cities and towns as we fly over them. Although, the lights at night can be pretty too.
I love both, so long as I'm up in the air.
I could care less what time of day or night it is, I just want to be near the window, not stuck in the middle between two people (usually rude people who have no idea of personal space) or near the isle, having every passerby's arse in my face.
I have a paralyzing fear of heights. I'm truly terrified of flying, so I don't really care what time of day it is, as long as I'm near someone I love, and NOT near the window.
I had my pilot license before I ever fly on a commercial aircraft... Doesn't matter, I'm not a good passenger
Actually flying is much nicer and easier at night most of the time in VFR conditions. Here in the NE USA the lights of the various cities make, pilotage and dead reckeoning very easy. The air is much smoother (less terrestial radiation so thermals are less likely) at night and the winds tend to be much calmer.
The one's that don't crash.
Why are more modern aircraft including Boeing 747 jumbo aircraft having more controls managed by computer or fly-by-wire? Is it safe?

For those who like small government..should the FAA oversee the safety of air travel or butt out? Without the FAA would you still fly?

You're reading I am afraid of flying so I prefer night flights - you don't tend to see the ground. My friend loves flying and likes day flights - looking down, seeing the ground etc. Which do you prefer?

thanks. i even would like to sit in the window seat because the first time i rode the airplane it was available, nobody sat on it, i regret it up to now. afraid that the guy beside me wouldn't let me. haha. was even more afraid of him. don't let your fears stop you, some of my friends were afraid of dogs because they haven't been bitten yet. but it's a risk. i just think of it as we can never say when we die, but when we worry that's a lot of pain. what if you really had 40 years of life to go on and you spent all that time worrying of something you don't have control of, its gonna be a waste
