WE WERE MARRIED IN COMMUNITY OF PROPERTY, HE HAD AFFAIR AND DIVORCED ME BUT HAS LOTS OF DEBT. WE HAD 2 HOUSES AND EACH GOT 1 IN DIVORCE AGREEMENT. MY PAYMENTS ARE UP TO DATE BUT HIS O/S. CAN ANY OF HIS CREDITORS COME AFTER MY HOUSE AN FORCE ME TO SELL

    I dont believe the creditors have any claim to your property. You more than likely signed a quit claim deed giving up your interst in his house at time of divorce. That obsolves you from any amounts that are owed. Check your paperwork. You should have a copy of a quit claim.

    A large part of the purpose of divorce proceedings is to sever the assets and debts of the parties so they don't affect each other. This should have happened during your divorce, and you should have the paperwork which backs it up.

    If you don't understand the papers you have, take them all to a financial advisor and have him explain them to you.
