Help answer this question below.

What is a creative/good way to repurpose old lunch boxes? I'm sure there's got to be some good use for them, especially the plastic ones, once the school year is over....?

You can turn it into a first aid kit, use it to hold little odds and ends in the kitchen (they fit great on shelves and are perfect for those treats that tend to get scattered), deck up the outside and use it to hold memorabilia from the school year, use it as a pencil box, use it to house puzzles if you have a box that is broken, make a time capsule out of it for your kids, or use it to hide naughty things in your bedroom. :)

Be sure you have them appraised before you do anything with them...I saw some on Antique Road Show sold in the 1950s worth thousands of dollars.

- awesome tip, thinker! ....but nope, this is a hot pink plastic barbie from 2 years ago, and a much older but still only worth $10 maximum, yellow plastic chipmunks one! can't bring myself to throw them in recycling until i explore all the possibilities of what COULD be done with them first!!!! :)

- If it is Barbie hang on to it and do not damage it! Anything Barbie grows in value rapidly! Some of the Barbie things only a few years old (10 to 15 yrs) are worth thousands! if it is Barbie it will be worth something soon

Split them in half and use them to make really big ice cubes. Build an ice bar. Throw a frat party.

Well, how used are they?

You can clean them and donate them to a local charity shop.

Or if you have some spare cardboard, you can fill the lunch box with soil, use cardboard to make squares and grow seedlings :D
