I work standing about 8 hours a day, I have tried the gel insoles but they don't seem to work, is there anything else I can try that wont make my feet hurt as bad? I have tried flats and heels but they still hurt! HELP!

do you have a restriction on the types of shoes you have to wear? if you dont, i would recommend getting a pair of running shoes. you can typically find the previous years model for a lot cheaper than the current year (used to by shoes for 30-40 dollars when i ran, if there's a Kohls nearby they usually have good deals on shoes). if you need black shoes i would recommend a shoe company called GBX. i dont know what model the shoe i had was, but it had about 3/4 of an inch foam on the inside and were really comfortable for my job (where i'm on my feet and walking around for 6-9 hour shifts)

I actually bought a pair of those Walkfits that they advertise on the infomercials. I generally don't waste my money on that junk, but they were cheap and my feet hurt so I figured I didn't have much to lose. To my complete amazement, they worked. I rarely go without them now. I have a good pair of Red Wing boots I wear in winter that have a good supportive insole, but when I'm not wearing them, I've got the Walkfits in my shoes.

gel insoles are a joke and a half. there is a brand called "lynco" where if you can find a good shoe store which carries them, they will have you stand on a pad and a computer will tell you by how you stand which insole to get. they reduced my foot pain by 98% after suffering for 5 years.
