Since when is it okay to send birthday cards via text message or e-mail? Is it just me who finds it offensive and if not, how are you dealing with it - and has it worked?

I am not offended in the slightest. I hate the idea of someone spending 4 or 5 dollars for a card that is thrown out within days. I would rather someone give me the money to put towards my trip to Bali to visit the orphanages I support. Roll on e-cards.

    G'day Ausbabe,

    Thank you for your question.

Generally, I am just glad someone remembered my birthday. I would prefer to get a personal e-mail from someone than a Hallmark card but anybody who remembers my birthday deserves thanks.

In those circumstances, you just have to tell yourself that its the thought that counts otherwise they mightn't bother sending you anything next time.

    Regards
