At random, my left cheek develps a red, scar-like spot that looks similar to a burn. It can last a few hours to a few weeks. What can the possible cause be and how can I stop it from reaccuring?

    If it is just one cheek, it is possible it is simply a patch of dr skin. Try something like Aloe and see if that helps.

    It sounds like some kind of birthmark that might come out depending on your mood. My cousin had one like that and it went away as he got older, I forgot what kind it was though. The site below has a list of birthmarks and some treatment options. I hope it helps:

    This Daley has a new  bundle of joy

    It could be Actinic Keratosis (sun damage). My husband gets two spots that become aggravated sometimes and other times they almost disappear. The spots become pink and sometimes red and then appear to get very dry.
