  • I've never seen any evidence that they are. On the other hand, people who sit next to them on airliners are pretty discriminated against.
  • In some places yes. Some people just don't care how you might look and care about your personality and persona, which rarely may be found. Others are just full of hypocrisy who see hatred against heavy people and think they're so imperfect and not right. They claim they take up too much space, are too wide to walk and other ignorant reasons. Not everyone is like that but the majority.
  • I heard on the news a few months ago that overweight people are discriminated against in the workplace and I believe it's true. http://loveyourbody.nowfoundation.org/factsheet4.html http://www.workopolis.com/servlet/Content/workingwounded/20060215/ww20060215?section=WorkingWounded
  • Because mankind is cruel and vindictive. We tend to discriminate against anything that is different from ourselves. The more developed and intelligent of us know better and recognize we are all of the same species sharing the same planet and the same stuff lies underneath everyone's skins regardless of the outside. But there are still many ignorant individuals who think they are the only ones on earth worth anything and are just the "shiz" when they put down anything that is "lesser" than themselves.
  • because people see heavier people (aka me) as lazy greedy unhealthy slobs - which in a way is true - but for example not fare - because one of my m8s eats like 5 pigs in 1, he eats tons of junk food all the time - barely excersizes and is still a stick - i guess he must naturaly have a high matabolism - soo unfare - but im on a mission to get fit :) :)
  • I would have to say yes in some cases. The public seems to frown upon those who are heavy, when in reality it is none of anyone's business what a person looks like, how much they weigh or how they choose to live their lives.
