hold off on judgement. Consider the possibilities. Is it a matter of he CANT cook becasue he never learned? If so, as long as he is willing to learn, there is no problem. Now, on the other hand, if he WONT cook because he feels that is beneath him, I would not pay him another second of my time.

He is destined to a life of fast food or hunger if he hooks up with a woman who cannot either. These days, it is increasingly common for women to not know how to cook. Man should be prepared in every aspect of his life to care for himself, his s/o, and his family.

What do you think of a woman who can't lift hundred pound sacks for herself? Or fight to defend herself? We all have our pluses and minuses.

I think he's fine, some guys just can't cook. Same as some girls can't cook. Just because he can't cook doesn't make him less of a man or anything, it may make him more dependent on other people for cooking, but there's nothing wrong with that.

  • Good grief. Does he venture from his mom's house much?
I mean, come on, he has to at least know how to fry eggs, or stir fry some vegetables or mushrooms, or make oatmeal... or rice... well, the first one doesn't apply if he's vegan -- though even then, I've tasted good substitutes before -- but you get my point.

He might be considered a momma's boy.
He might not have ever needed to cook for himself for one reason or another.
He'd rather eat take-out than learning how to cook.

    He needs to start sometime???

idk, nobody was born knowing how to cook. you just look up recipes, try to follow the directions, if they dont turn out good, just learn from your mistakes and maybe try something easier.

the more you do it the better you will get at it.

try asking some female friends or good ol' mommy to help teach you if you don't feel like trying it alone.

I'd say his mama didn't teach him how. Shame on her.
My son learned to cook, clean and sew on a button. I didn't want him starving or being a poor husband.
His wife is happy about it. Has been for 15 yrs.
