Why do questions magically appear on my watch list which i did not ask, answer, comment on, or even read?

You're probably watching a category. You can change what categorys you watch, and delete them in your AB by going to "My settings", and then "Watch List".

You probably missed once the submit button by answering and clicked inadvertendly the check box "Send me new questions in [category of the question]". After this, you clicked the Submit button right and so you did not just submit your answer, but told Answerbag to send you all questions in that category. To change this back, go on your private profile: http://www.answerbag.com/profile/ Change the tab to "My Settings", click the "Watch List" link, and check the "delete" check box for the unwanted category and press the "delete" button.
