Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a 2003 Pontiac grand-am that the chime goes off at any given time and I can not figure out why. I have taken it to a garage and they can find nothing wrong. Does anyone know where I can find out whats causing the chime to go off?

Do any lights come on in the dashboard when the chime goes off?

Usually this is caused by a maladjusted or faulty switch somewhere. For example, if one of the switches that detects the door being closed/open were malfunctioning, that would set off a chime.

Look at your dashboard the next time it happens. Hopefully, you'll catch a clue about which system is causing it.

    Good luck
