It is okay. The advertisements take up way too much space. I hate having to scroll down the page for an hour before finding the damn answer box. and my profile page is all screwed up. But i do like that little side-bar 'more on this topic' or whatever. So i'd give it a 4 out of 10 stars.

I hate ads. But... I ran my own website for 3 years and didn't charge people to use it. Money to pay the bills has to come from someplace.
Would you prefer the ads to go and we all up the jing to pay the host and IP geeks?
I can ignore ads. I don't want to pay for a website.

I know they said we were in for some changes BUT this is NOT what I personally wanted at all

Every time there are changes to a website that a lot of people enjoy, there is confusion, and desire for the old way to return.
Here are a couple of prior changes to AB, and what people said then:

It's a bit jarring, when you've been on a site, and the layout for pages changes like this, but it can be gotten used to.

Well, the "more on this topic" section is good for laughs. I haven't yet seen it come up with anything remotely related to the question I was working on. I haven't seen much in the "you might also want to ask" section that seems related either. I don't quite get the point.

I'm slightly in favor of it, because with Firefox Adblock Plus, there are less ads to load, and therefore the pages are loading faster for me.
