If employee handbook states they allow 24 hrs a year to care for sick child and it also states they cant change there handbook without prior notification can they point you towards your absences?

No they cannot and if they try you can take them to court and easily win the case. Unless, of course, someone had seen you having a day or night on the town when you had claimed your child was ill.

nope i provided documents and then some to show my child had a medical condition.

I have brought in dr notes as well as other documents to show childs medical condition.

huh 24 hrs is 3 8 hr work days, they can ask you to prove that you cared for a sick child, it sounds like the only reason for an excused absebce is to care for a sick child
