Question

Help answer this question below.

The check engine light is on in my 2006 Miata (less than 4,00 miles). Will it cause any damage to drive it? I have an appointment to get it looked at but I don't want to damage the engine in the meantime.

Most of the time it is cause by FUEL CAP not properly tightened but don't be afraid driving it,it is still under full warranty.Just try to make sure you close the gas cap properly everytime , and for the present, once you secure that gas cap,you can reset that light by removing battery cable and tighten it back....have a blessed day

My b/f is a mechanic. All I do know is the "check engine light" is on, it must be looked at ASAP. You could ruin it by driving it, because you don't know what the problem is. Find someone to run diagnostics ASAP.
