I am a Middle School teacher and I love it!

First of all, I love being around early teenage kids as they are so energetic and funny and usually happy. This is in comparison to late teenage kids who are usually bored and sleeping and surly - hence I don't teach High School.

Second, I love teaching! I live for those few-and-far-between moments when a student either gets excited about something they are learning or another teacher reports how a student tells them about something they learned in my class.

Third, I love getting every weekend, just about every Holiday, Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break and most important of all, Summer Vacation!

Fourth, I am so incapable of focusing on one thing all the time enough to make that my job; as a teacher, I am able to jump around even in one lesson.

Yes, there are lots of other things I love to do and could do. I simply choose to be a teacher and influence the future!

And I don't like it, I love it!

I just sort of stumbled apon it one day, and I've been an addict ever since.

I'll start - I work as a legal assistant and no, I do not like it. I thought I wanted to be a lawyer, but I wanted to be certain, but I can't really tell because all I do is stuff envelopes. All of my friends think my job is a joke and I dread going to work everyday because I know I am going to be incredibly bored for the day.

If I could do anything I wanted I would like to be a writer. I majored in journalism in college, but did not like writing for a newspaper. I havent pursued a career as a writer because it is not very practical and incredibly competitive. I have a great LSAT and a good GPA so I'm sure I could go to a good law school and get a good job, but what Im not sure about is whether or not I want to do this as a profession. I know that people say that you should follow your dreams and not worry about practical jobs or money, but I think that only works well for trust fund kids. The rest of us have to pay our rent.
