Cilit BANG. especially for the BANG

I prefer to use just wool detergent for everything, because it makes it all smell nice and soft. But it's expensive as hell, so I just use regular powder which I put in first, then start the thing, then put in the washing.

Bold 2 in 1
-
Arm and Hammer gets the clothes really white.
-
I've always used Tide with bleach alternative, but have switched to Tide with Downey. Unfortunately, my washer broke (wouldn't spin) and the repairman just told me that Tide is the WORST for machines because it causes a lot of build-up. He votes for Arm and Hammer. (Of course he is a very odd, quirky little man, so I hope he hurries the repairs and leaves soon!)
-
Bold Liquid or Cubes .
-
SA8 from Quixtar. And I don't even sell it any more. It is the b est cost per wash and does the best job though.
-
Liquid tide with a touch of downy.
-
Anything unscented, liquid and cheap. I mostly use ALL these days. My mom always used tide, but I discovered that ALL was so much cheaper, does just as good a job, and still has an unscented, non-allergenic type for me. If it has cat or toddler urine on it, I use either whites or darks bleach. That new clorox for darks is magic.
-
Liquid All or Wisk. Both are made by the same Company, I don't know if there is any significant difference.
-
We use All, Clear. No scents, no perfumes, no fabric softeners. We have too many people in the family that react to all those smelly things and I don't want my clothes smelling like perfume. I like to hang them outside and I just want them smelling clean and fresh naturally. I do live Tide but with all these allergies around me I've and to change.
-
Tide powder. Bounce in the dryer. Downey softener, and Clorox for bleach.
-
Duo powder, orange and jasmine scent, makes my clothes smell beautiful!

I like Surf. Does anyone know a laundry detergent that is sufficiently close to Surf or sister brands All and OMO? (I can't find it easily in Japan.) Most detergents have surfectants, which make the water "wetter" and range from 8 to 18 percent. I suppose Unilever's Surf, which stands for surfectant, enjoys the high range. It cleans clothes through the power of altered water rather than harsh chemicals, which Tide uses — which is why I don't like Tide. In Japan, I've seen most Proctor and Gamble detergents: Tide, Purex, Gain, Irovy Snow, Downy, Dreft. I kinda like the Gain scent, but not sure how it compares with Surf regarding surfectancy. It would be great if anyone could point me in the right direction; I hate to experiment with all these on my clothes. If nothing works, I may have Surf shipped over — ugh. I also use vinegar, which really makes colors bright and lines sharp when done in cold water. High-surfectant detergents, like Surf, seems to increase the power of vinegar in cold water and makes all this possible.

Dreft, For a clean you can trust and it's definetely the #1 choice of pediatricians!!
-
Tide with Febreeze or Gain. I've tried others but I always come back to these.

Ok I know this thread is a pretty old one but figured I'd chime in just in case someone else wanders here for info. I have tried just about every laundry detergent on the market. I mean literrally tried just about every single one. All of them worked at removing odors, but most failed at tough stain removal. Through my research I have found only a few to recommend depending on your needs. My analysis is based on not only my personal research but also the research of others so here we go. 1.Tide-Any form of Tide works fine. They all have the same cleaning power and are the best at removing tough stains. Now I know it is a little pricy compared to others, but I have found you actually use less than other brands. For instance, a full cup of a cheaper detergent equates to half a cup of Tide with better results. On top of that..Tide does go on sale everynow and then at your local store so just stock up. Also it was ranked high by Consumer Reports. 2.Oxydol-Yes good old fashion Oxydol. Now it may not be available in all areas but my local store sells it and it always sells out fast. Regularly priced it is cheaper than Tide and works just as well in my opinion, but it is harder to get a hold of so I have ranked it in second place. 3.Gain-I have used Gain, had to stop due to allergic reactions, but it's overall preformance was good. Not as great as Tide or Oxydol for my household, but pretty good. It is also less expensive than Tide and was also ranked well by Consumer Reports. 4.Purex-This is a decent little laundry detergent for basic laundry needs. I would not however, recommend it for serious laundry issues. Once ranked the 1# selling "value brand". 5.Yes-Not very well known but a really decent little value brand for basic laundry needs. I would not recommend it for serious laundry problems. Smells better than the Purex, in my opinion, and costs less than the Purex. Another thing to consider is regarding laundry detergent is, how long has it been on the market? If they have been around for a while and are still around it is for a good reason. Three of the brands in my top five have been artound for quite a while; Tide, Oxydol, and Purex. I buy Tide or Oxydol, but keep value brands on hand for what I call "light washing". It helps save money in the long run if you do not have to use the more expensive brands all the time. I will also give you a little of my background for reference. I am the mother of two very active, extremely messy small children, and the wife of...... a garbage man. Now you know I know a little bit about dirt and gettig things clean. On a final note, it also helps to keep bleach, color safe bleach, Borax, Fels Naptha, and Washing Soda in your arsenal for that extra Oompf!

All, High Efficiency.
-
what makes Tide so gret
-
i use coldpower advanced because my partner reacts to mostly everything else. it doesnt have the best smell, but i add some "cuddly" or "fluffy" to it, and smells divine, and comes out soft and cuddly
-
Tide for high efficiency washers. In my opinion, it smells good enough for me. http://www.easyshopforeverything.com/groceries/B000BTHJCM/tide-he-detergent-for-high-efficiency-washers-powder-original-scent-31-load-boxes-pack-of-4.html

My son bought us a washer and dryer..the washer requires the low suds detergent..so if there is one on sale and I have a coupon, that's the one I get. I am not a "name-brand" loyalist..I am a "most-for-my-money" loyalist! :)
-
Fab; cheap, cleans well and smells fresh. ~ The new version of ultra Downey is the first fabric softener in years that actually keeps the fresh smell in your stuff longer than a day. I have a blanket I used it on two weeks ago and it still smells fresh. I'm impressed.
-
I use vinegar for my laundry, as well as to clean my home. The laundry smells great, and vinegar removes body oils and dirt just as well as commercial laundry products, not to mention it softens the clothes too. And it's way cheaper.
-
Bold - crushed silk and jasmine. I love the smell of my clothes after I wash them with it.
-
Tide with bleach alternative and Downy.
-
I like Tide and All for their scent and performance. :)

My skin has become quite sensative as I've gotten older and I am now allergic to quite a few detergents. I now use purex instead of tide. Bonus: It's half the price of tide!

-
Tide
-
I would have to go with Tide. Although if I need something to take care of an odor I go with Gain.
-
SA8 is the best laundry detergent by far! Tide has fillers in it that get in your clothes. You know how you sometimes get itchy when you sweat? That's the fillers from the Tide in that got into your clothes and are attacking your skin. Personally I say no thanks! SA8 wins in the detergent battle for me =)

Tide

Tide or Cheer

I like Tide or All.

I have always gone with Tide for some reason. I think it's just because it's like the most popular brand, and I haven't really tried anything else.
