• No, it isn't. An island is surrounded on all sides with water, England share borders with Scotland and Wales, and they are all on the island of Britain.

• No, wrong again. England is in Britain, along with Scotland and Wales. The English are British, but the British aren't necessarily English. Britain is not a country, it is an island with three countries on it. The Scottish are British, but they don't live in England, and same with the Welsh.

• Just SE of Miami. It's one of the northern-most keys. It's a nice sailing destination in the Spring and Fall. Quite deserted, used to be a house there that a young couple lived from Prohibition through the Depression. The wife wrote a book about it called Charlotte's Story. It's on Amazon. Very interesting survival tips for that specific area and stories of rumrunners. Nice place to camp. Lots of fish, shellfish and other things to eat. Tropical paradise during the right times of the year. And, if you get lonely, South Beach is just an hour and a half sail away.

• It is confusing even for some of the people who live here.....Britain is the island, which consists of three countries, Wales, England, and Scotland, and the UK adds Northern Ireland to those three.

• Yes Great Britain is the same as Britain, so the British Empire could also be called the Great British Empire if you like. There is kind of a little Britain, as the area known as Brittany on the continent of Europe was known back in history as lesser Britain due to historical links, but it has no geographical connection. Britain is more of a geographical connection, and the UK is more of a political one.

• Okie, I think the term "British" kinda confused me - since citizens of its colonies were also "British", being citizens of the British Empire, I thought that Britain referred to the empire. I'm from Malta myself but the colonial years were before my time.

• It is pretty confusing, and as Northern Ireland is a part of the UK but not a part of Britain some people argue whether to call people from there British or not, all that I know for definite is that the Welsh, English and Scots are British, and anything else I'm not entirely sure.....
