Question

If you fall in love with someone, but you split up, then meet someone else (possibly years after) and fall in love with them, do you think it is possible to still be in love with the first person?

Loving someone and being "in love" with someone are two entirely different things.

I don't have a crystal ball but as an opinion, I suppose it's possible.

When dealing with love you will carry scars. But if you still feel that you love the first one then you don't completely love the second.

It is possible. I am married and love my husband. We have been married about 10 years. We dated for 7 years before that. I went straight from my previous love to my husband. I still love the other one, although I have not seen him in many many years. We started to communicate about a year ago, and I think for sure I still love him, after all he was my first real love.

You are probably still in love with the first person, and not in love with second, because if you truly love the new person, you'd have moved on from the old.

I will always love my first love. He ment a lot to me and we had 7 and a half years together that no one can replace because we basically grew up together, I will never love anyone like I did him, but I will, and have, fallen in love again. Even though I never thought that I could have, I did. So, it really depends, and on how the relationship ended. But I think the people who have an affect on your life will always have a loving place in your heart, especially if you came out a better person because of it.

Regarding humans and relationships, anything you can imagine can be possible. And has probably already occurred.

Those feelings don't go away easily. If you didn't have closure in the first place, the love will likely continue. That's why it's important to try and get closure before moving on.

I think it's possible but do you want to bring these feelings out? Cuz if you are with someone you should break it off or explain to them because if she #2 finds out about #1 from anyone but you, you will be double _ _ _ _ _ _ ! #2 might still be the one and you have to live with your own integrity. I say follow your heart, mind and soul but keep away from the path of shady and questionable morals.
