Why do you think liberals in America have come to reject all the very principles and values their country was founded upon?

because they have seen that these so called principles have been hijacked by Big Corporations and Banks for their own greed at the expense of everyone else ... and a inept succession of Governments that has stood back and allowed this to happen while clamping down on ordinary citizens rights and liberties. Also a succession of Governments that have pandered to the right wing religious sections at the expense of other members of society, now these to things have led to another recession/depression in which the ordinary people have been screwed over yet again while the fools that allowed this to happen get away with it.

In the contrary - "Liberal" is from "Liberty" - freedom, one of the founding principles of America. Liberals think that people should be allowed to do what they want as long as they don't hurt other people, which I see as central to the creation of America - Americans should chose how they lived, not King George.

I am probably gonna get minus milions points for that... but how are current liberals rejecting those principles and values and what you see under the mentioned principles and values? Mainstream conservatives and liberals pretty much fit in the range of the USA as a democratic country. and there is one thing people should realize. AMerica was founded over 200 years ago. Times change. Principles and values change. Although Founding Fathers were intelligent, wise and kick-ass philosophers, they would not forsee nuclear weapons, internet and reality shows:D (I am joking on this part:p). But they could not forsee the society of today. should we stuck to principles of the 18th century, or should we adapt to the crazy times we live in right now?

Well, I'll tell ya. I'm a liberal and woke up one morning and decided I want to reject all that is good. If i see a little old lady crossing the street I find it my patriotic duty to kick her down and spit on her a few times. I can't stand good things and think all good people should be killed. Is that the type of answer you're looking for? Sorry. Your entire thesis is flawed in the worse way possible there buddy boy.
