It is no more or less okay than someone younger than 25 having them (alright, in some cases it IS more okay). Since it doesn't hurt anyone, I don't see why it is anyone's business other than the person who gave them and the person who received them.

I love how you group older people 25 years and up NUNYA! It makes me slightly worried for hitting 25 though! =) I personally think it is of coure ok for older people to have hickies, it is probabably much better than the younger lot having them.
I think they are trashy though - (something my mum drilled into me when I cam home with one!)

I think it's fine to have hickies no matter what age you are(given that you're of age.) There's absolutely nothing wrong with having them, not all of them are intentional.. and it just shows that you and your partner show affection towards each other. It's no one else's business what's on your body. People who find hickies disgusting, trashy, or slutty(I have no idea how it's slutty.. sleeping with multiple people is what I consider slutty, having a mark of affection from your partner is in no way slutty) disturb me and remind me of children who still think kissing or hand holding is gross. You're in a relationship, you and your partner have sex and love on another... HOW IS THAT WRONG? It's completely normal.. finding it abnormal is what's absurd.

Now I know what a Hickie is. In the UK we call them 'Love-Bites' Mmmmmm strickly for kids! They look a bit 'Chavy' on adults. It's not considered respectful to 'mark' someone in this way for the world to see.

25 is very young to me too. Read through some of the answer Karen Ann. People got way way way too serious over this quesiton. Like all mad that I was saying that 25 was old. When that wasn't what I was trying to say. I just wondered if it was "too old" to have a hicky? Not cool to have a hicky at 25 or older??? It came out all wrong for me.
