  • And how is that different from ANY religion?
  • Not so. We are not talking to ourselves. We know the truth. We are not talking to our critics. They won't accept the truth. . We are talking to the large numbers of people who will accept as true the statements made by our critics if no answer is given. . And we invite all of them to pray to God, who is their father as well as ours, to help them discern the true from the false.
  • I seem to recall this question already being asked. I'll paraphrase my answer from before. I read it as referring to open minds. Most critics I've run across have no interest in learning the truth about what Mormons believe. I've been told that what I share as Mormon beliefs are contrary to what the Church teaches. Few critics listen to Mormon responses, so Mormon apologists are, in essence, talking to themselves. Alas, the lack of open minds is not limited to critics. Many LdS already have made up their minds to never leave the Church no matter what, and mark any challenge as being "anti-Mormon propaganda".
