I once watched chainsaw masacre (the newer one), at night by myself. Never again!

I have, but the only one that scared the crap out of me for some reason was The Blair Witch Project. I think it was because I watched it late at night, all the windows in the house were open with an obvious breeze coming in; and I live in the country where some sounds can scare you. My husband and children weren't in the house; they were away camping. I've watched scary movies alone before when they were asleep, at home. I don't think it was just the movie, but the entire atmosphere I had going on. My daughter thinks it's hilarious that, that movie scared me at all!

Yes. Every Sunday night on TV after everyone else is in bed. Sadly they really need to get some new movies. Reruns are getting tired!

All the time, I love the genre and particularly supernatural films. Horror films are so stimulating becouse they center on the dark side of life and the forbidden. They deal with our most primal nature and fears: our nightmares, our vulnerability, our alienation, our revulsions, our terror of the unknown, our fear of death , and loss of identity. They are most effective when viewed at night and when we are alone.
-
Most definately, in the dark! Then I freak out, don't sleep for a week, swear to never do it again. Then one night when I'm home alone...
-
Yeah, they're rubbish.
-
All the time, it's totally fun and horror movies really don't scare me anyways. I still prefer watching them with my boyfriend so we can mess around during the film ha ha, or with people so I can laugh at them when they get all scared.
-
Is there any other way to watch them??? Seriously I love horror movies (not bloody/gore ones) but ones that scare the hell out of me. I don't sleep for ages afterwards but God I love them!! Do I need help?? LOL +3

No. I don't watch them, period. They don't scare me, but they don't entertain me, either.
