    Something about Purim that perhaps not everybody knows:

    The Talmud says that one may not read the Megillah (the scroll of Esther that relates the full story of Purim) backwards.

    The famous Chassidic Master, Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov explained it to mean that you should not read the Megillah as a piece of history.

    All the characters in the story, as well as the details of the events it recounts, are all templates for spiritual challenges that people face- and how to overcome them.

    Well, I would presume that it's a Jewish holiday of some sort.
