I was driving down road felt pop in clutch pedal on a 96 ford contour ls 2.5 v6 mod clutch went to floor would not go into gear turned car off put in gear drove to gas station speed shifting clutch came back up but wont shift is this the clutch or tranny?

    clutch, check the system, if there are no leaks dro the gear box and check the bearing and the disk.

    sound like the TO bearing, pressureplate or arm is f'ed
