  • Voodoo is mans idea that they created. We have more evidence of there being a God and the bible being true than anything else in the world. The bible was also written over way more years than that.
  • 2007 BC? that's an interesting theory. Voodoo is a development of traditional African religion, which was brought to the Americas by slaves. It has no historical origin, and no wide appeal, due to the fact that it belongs to one ethnic/cultural background. Christianity, however, is a historically based religion, with beneficial teachings that have impacted a large percentage of the world. There is in fact, a world of difference between the two thought systems, even before we consider the experiences of millions of christians throughout the world.
  • I think it's because Christianity has become more widespread than before, and many people in the areas where it's the main religion in don't encounter cultures that believe in it. I may be wrong, though.
  • The Bible was NOT written in 2007. The Old Testament is largely a historical account of the Hebrew people, written over the course of a thousand years or so, and the Gospels were written between 40 and 70 AD. The Epistles were written around this same time, or a few decades after. I have never heard anyone refer to voodoo or vodoun as outdated- most dismiss it because of it's superstitious nature.
  • Plenty of people DO believe in voodoo. It's particularly popular in Brazil and Haiti.
  • if you instead of saying voodoo but say mysticism and shamanism then their are probably close to the same amount of people that believe in spiritism as their are christians. ps the bible started around 2000 BC and perhaps before but anywho, it then had more prophets write more books that were introduced as truth, until we now have the BIBLE. as for the BIBLE AND GOD AND JESUS I surely believe in them, but the BIBLE says that the things that are done in dark arts, are actually done but how they are done is where it is wrong and for what they are done is wrong.+2
